Egg Custard Sauce Recipe image

Ingredients:
2 egg yolks
1 1/3 cup milk
2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 ts vanilla extract

Preparation:

  1. Whisk egg yolks with sugar in bowl.

  2. Heat the milk in a double boiler.

  3. When hot, stir a little of it into the beaten yolk and the sugar, and mix well; then pour the yolk mixture into the hot milk, and continue stirring over low heat until thickened.

  4. Add vanilla extract.

  5. Serve with bread pudding, christmas pudding or mince pies.
