Ingredients:
3 lb (1 1/2 kg) beef short ribs
1 (28 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp allspice
2 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried thyme
1 bay leaf
3 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Preparation:
- Heat oil in large fry pan over medium heat. Add short ribs and brown meat well.
- Add tomatoes; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
- Add remaining ingredients. Reduce to low heat and simmer for 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender.
