Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 heaping tablespoon sugar
2 large bananas
1 baked homemade pie crust
MERINGUE:
2 egg whites
2 tablespoon of sugar
Preparation:
- For each pie required prepare a custard with one and one half cups of milk, the yolks of two eggs, one tablespoon cornstarch and two heaping tablespoonfuls of sugar.
- Mash two large bananas through a colander, strain the custard over them, and beat well together.
- Bake in an under crust only, and meringue the top with the whites of the eggs beaten to a stiff froth with two tablespoonfuls of sugar.

I almost finished making this pie when I realized that it doesn’t tell you on what temperature to cook the pie or for how long. If someone can tell me I would appreciate it.
Bake at 350 F (175 C) degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
do i need a cooked pie crust or not? baking time doesn’t seem to be enough for unbaked pie. need reply.
Bake crust until it is lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack. Spoon banans with custard into baked pie crust. Spread meringue on top. Then bake all together for another 12 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
