Ingredients:
300 g (10 oz) all-purpose flour
100 g (3.5 oz) sugar
200 g (7 oz) butter
2 egg yolks
100 g (3.5 oz) walnuts, ground
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
For filling:
100 g (3.5 oz) apricot preserves
Preparation:
- Mix dry ingredients; cut in butter. Add well beaten egg yolks, 140 g (5 oz) sugar and rest of ingredients.
- Form into small balls, the size of a walnut. Form into a ball and dip in rest of sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet and make a hole in the center with your thumb.
- Bake at 200 C (392 F) 15 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet, sprinkle with powdered sugar and let cool. Fill hole with apricot preserves.
