Ingredients:
250 g (0.5 lb) butter
500 g (1 lb 2 oz) all-purpose flour
250 g (0.5 lb) sugar
4 eggs yolks
zest of 1 lemon
FOR DECORATION:
egg yolk
candy sprinkles
Preparation:
- Cream sugar, butter, and egg yolks. Beat well, add flour and lemon zest.
- Chill dough. Roll out dough and cut with your favorite Christmas cookie cutters. Place cookies on a cookie sheet. Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with candy sprinkles.
- Bake at 200 C (392 F) for 6 to 7 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet and cool.
