Ingredients:
500 g (1 lb 2 oz) flour
15 g (0.5 oz) yeast
15 g (0.5 oz) butter
1 teaspoon sugar
salt
Preparation:
- Dissolve the sugar in little warm water, blend in the yeast and leave for 30 minutes.
- Mix together flour , yeast, salt, butter and enough warm water to make soft dough. Beat well for 3 minutes, using a mixer or by hand. Let stand at warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
- Knead dough again, form sticks 10 cm (4 inch) long and 1,5 cm (1/2 inch) thick. Put in oiled pan and let stand until it rises again, about 1 hour.
- Bake at 105 C (220 F) for 5 minutes.
